History

This country is located at the East side of Black Sea and the correct name is Republic of Georgia.

Georgia is surrounded by Russia at the North, Azarbaijan and Armenia at the South, and Turkey at the South West.

The country is bordered by the Black Sea at the West.

Georgia is part of United Nations, European Council, and WTO etc., and also trying to be part of NATO and EU.

Batumi is the capital of Adjara Republic. The population is 121,806 people as per the reports of 2002. This number, however, increase during summer as people comes to Batumi to work as well as for vacation.

Batumi has a big harbor, is on the main railway road as well as on the gas pipeline route, therefore became a center of trade.

Agriculture plays an important role with Batumi’s very suitable climate. Lately, Batumi also became an important touristic destination with its nice and tropical gardens and natural attractions.
